Oak City Shredders respects your privacy. This Data Deletion Policy outlines how users of our website, iOS app, and Android app can request the deletion of their personal data, and how we handle those requests.

• Device Info: OS version, device ID, crash logs

• App & Event Interactions: Registrations, RSVPs, saved content

• Authentication Info: Sign-in providers like Google, Apple, or Facebook

• Firebase Data: Including records stored in Firebase Auth, Firestore, and Firebase Analytics

2. Your Right to Request Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. Once we verify your identity, we will delete your information unless retention is required by law (e.g., for security, compliance, or fraud prevention).

3. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion using any of the following methods:

🌐 Website Users

• Email us at deletemydata@oakcityshredders.org with the following info:

  • Your full name

  • The email address linked to your account

  • Whether you use iOS or Android

  • A clear statement requesting data deletion

📱 iOS and Android App Users

• Email us at deletemydata@oakcityshredders.org with the following info:

  • Your full name

  • The email address linked to your account

  • Whether you use iOS or Android

  • A clear statement requesting data deletion

iOS Users: If available in the app, you may also request deletion by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account.

4. What Happens Next

Once your request is verified:

• We will delete your data from our systems (including Firebase) within 30 days

• You will receive confirmation of completion

• Anonymized, non-identifiable data may be retained for analytical or internal reporting purposes

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party tools such as:

• Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Analytics)

• Apple / Google / Facebook Login

• Email and Messaging Platforms

We will take reasonable steps to ensure your data is also deleted from third-party systems, subject to their own privacy policies.
