WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR OCSF 4?

With so many squirrels running around to make this epic event happen, the schedule can change; CLICK HERE for this year’s schedule.

Do I have to use a Future Motion Onewheel?

To win the coveted Top Squirrel Trophies you DO NOT have to be on a board that is using a Future Motion Controller or Future Motion Motor. We have Open and Pro Classes for our racers.

To win points for ORL, you must be on a Verified Future Motion Onewheel.

How do I win a ticket for Amped Electric Games?

The First Place Winners from both head2head Onewheel and EUC races in both male and female categories will win tickets to the Amped Electric Games in Bentonville Arkansas

How Do I get to Oak City Shred Fest from the Airport

See this page here for detailed directions.

Where can I charge?

Field Camping has over 800 amps of power!! Or find a Power Tower and charge up your board. The main stage also has multiple power circuits as well. There are also power plugs on all the light poles around the lake. However, bringing your own generator for your RV or camp is highly recommended!!

Ask around; this community is pretty chill and happy to share power.

Will Oak City Shred Fest be held rain or shine or are there alternate dates?

Oak Shred Fest is a rain-or-shine event, with no alternate dates.  Putting together an amazing, destination event like Oak City Shred Fest involves bringing together lots of volunteers, participants, vendors and entertainers from our Onewheel community and beyond.  It’s a big effort and beyond our scope to offer alternate dates.  So badger your board, bring suitable clothing and get ready to rumble no matter the weather!

Yeah, fine.  If the weather’s bad can I get a refund?

Oak City Shred Fest is a rain-or-shine event, so we can’t issue weather-related refunds.  We make a lot of commitments with all the great sponsors and vendors who are a part of Oak City Shred Fest, so we’re all in and ask that you be all in, too.  The first Oak City Shred Fest was literally preceded by a hurricane, yet we had an epic event and the stoke was off the charts, so don’t bail because you’ll have full immersion FOMO if you bail.

Can I bring my Gel Blaster?

You will not need to bring a Gel Blaster from home to enjoy the Gel Blaster fun. See Gel Blaster Rules Here.

Can I fly my Drone?

Yes, but be sure to keep the skies clear for the Media Teams’ drones during the races and other broadcast events. Otherwise, the Air Space Above Oak City Shred Fest is Class G (Uncontrolled). If you would like to fly your drone, follow all local and federal laws regarding drone operation.

Is safety gear required?

Helmets are mandatory on the entire property.  This is a requirement from the property owners and it’s non-negotiable.  Help us continue having this event for years to come by respecting the property owners’ requirements.  Additional safety gear is recommended based on your riding and judgment.

What do I need to bring?

If you ride a Onewheel…a Onewheel (and charger?)  (More on charging below.)  Additional recommendations:

  • Cash for vendors.  Cellular service might be spotty and the wonders of the Information Age might not be available.

  • Sunscreen.

  • Safety gear.  See above under IS SAFETY GEAR REQUIRED?

Of course! Oak City Shred Fest is a celebration of PEV’s and the culture. Come on out and shred any Personal Electric Vehicle. Oak City Shred Fest is also about racing, please do not ride any device on FloatTrack or The Qualifier that would damage the surface.

We love pets, but pets are NOT allowed. Service Animals are Welcome.

There have been too many issues with multiple dogs on site. Please do not bring your furry friend to the venue.

If you have service animal requirements, please contact us at info@oakcityshredfest.com. Otherwise, Fluffy and Fido will just need to stay in the RV or watch the livestream.

I have to pee!

Ok, that’s not a question, but we hear it a lot. Relief facilities can be found throughout the venue, we have porta-potties for your relief.

They are all EAST of the entrance road. Per the festival property owner, and since the "Outlaw incident," if you are caught riding these trails, you risk being kicked out. Any users who mention Williamson Preserve should be cautioned against riding there.

There is a small fee to camp on non-festival days (before and after), contact @gryzby for more information.

  • While no PEVs have been stolen in the past that we know of, there have been incidents of boards disappearing for a while. We recommend airtags or other security devices, recognizable colors and stickers on your ride, and proper supervision.
