Oak City Wheely Long Race

RACE

  • Race will take place over 8 hours from 2PM to 10PM Saturday 

  • Mass Start style beginning at 2:00 PM the North end of Field. 

  • Course will roughly be; Field - Single Track - Float Track full loop - The Qualifier - Road back to field. Current route is 1 mile per lap. 

  • The team with the most laps completed by race finish 10:00pm wins. 

  • Start and finish line will be located on the road by StOak Park. 

  • Staging support areas for teams, easy access for medical, and charging will be located roadside of the field. Near old StOak Park and Big Market.

  • OW Teams will consist of 5 Racers, Can have 6 boards maximum.   

  • EUC Teams will consist of 5 racers, Allowed 1 extra EUC as backup. 

  • Pit Crew’s are welcomed and not limited

  3. Best Theme/Costumes or Stoke - TBD

Tips for race teams:

  • Radio for rider and pit/support crew - so you can let the team know when you're on the last lap or if the board dies on trail.

  • All teams will be issued ONE timing chip, Maybe have some way of identifying that it has been handed off to the new racer. 

  • STAY HYDRATED! 

Clerical

  • If board dies mid lap you can have the team bring another board, another racer can snag your timing chip, or you can make it back to the team area and snag another board.

  • Boards will be given a small dot sticker by power button numbered 1-6 for boards.  Any Onewheel styled board is allowed.
